At last the summer is over (yes, I really mean it). I don’t get along very well with the heat and my relationship with the sun is even worse, and, unfortunately, we have a lot of sun and heat in summer here in Valencia.
But not only because of that I am glad that this season is over, the end of summer implies the end of my thesis work. After all the summer working on it at last I can proudly say that I have finish it!
On the other hand, the end of summer this year has meant the arrival of my so longed holyday in Amsterdam and, of course, the long-awaited reunion with my Erasmus friends.
These four days have been truly magical and have helped me to get away from the stress of summer.
The city is beautiful, both by day and by night; each building looks like a work of art, its large windows, its dark facades, its decorations in the highest part and, of course, its glazed balconies perfect for reading on rainy days.
The river crosses the city everywhere, and I am not exaggerating, so that there are almost more boats moored than parked cars; and the amount of bikes you see is crazy.
We went on a boat trip touring the city through its main channels.
We spent hours and hours in Van Gogh Museum. How much I enjoyed it!
And finally we visited the flower market.
The smell of dried flower is my weakness
I’d have loved to buy the all!
I have no doubt that I want to return, although I am well aware that this trip has been so special thanks to the company.
