The Darkest Hour

It is quite possible that you have all read about my thesis work already. Well, I’ve finally finished it and defended it, and I got the magnificent mark of 100/100! After all the work and all the hours spent I couldn’t be happier.

I have talked many times about my project, but I am still aware that it seems something theoretical, something immaterial and simply ethereal. And it is not.

That’s why I wanted to show you how it looks like.

The book is the first of a saga of three volumes, each of which is composed of 3 or 4 short tales written and illustrated by me. Each story is independent, that is, it has its own introduction, knot and denouement; but at the same time they are all linked with the others forming a more complex history, a novel so to say.

As for the illustrations, all have been painted with gouache, so they are in black and white. There are three types of illustrations that appear in all stories, landscapes, portraits and details.

First tale: Tears of Blood

Second tale: Death’s Red Lips

Third tale: For a Broken Heart

One more thing, just in case someone is curious. The second volume is already written, but I have not had time to illustrate it yet; and the third one is in process!

I leave here the Book Trailer again just in case you missed the previous post. Don’t forget to turn on the English subs!
