Good afternoon everyone! It is true that I haven’t been posting much lately, but I have an excuse, this month I am drawing.
Yes, for those who didn’t know, drawing is one of my hobbies and since we are in October there is no better occasion to inprove my skills.
I don’t know how many you have heard of the Inktober initiative and that’s why I’m going to tell you a little about what’s going on.
Inktober is an initiative created in 2009 by artist and illustrator Jake Parker with the aim of improving his skills and creating a good drawing habit. Since then the challenge has grown and today, hundreds of people around the world follow it. Inktober consists of making an illustration with ink every day, 31 days 31 drawings.
Inktober has been growing and other initiatives, such as Drawlloween, have emerged parallel to this, all of them consisting on almost identical foundations and sharing the same goal. All these versions of the challenge create official lists so that the artists that participate have guides or can be based on something to draw but I haven’t followed any of them. Apparently I’m an innate rebel! I just do not like conditioning creativity and forcing myself to draw something I don’t want to.
Anyway this year is the first one that I intend to fulfil the complete challenge and for that reason I leave here my first 10 drawings.
If you like them and want to purchase any of them you can contact me directly or check my online art shop.
