These Easter holiday we decided to make an express trip to Madrid. With the AVE you arrive so fast and, despite the bad weather and that we already have two other trips to the capital this year, it’s worth it.
It is true that the weather was not the best. It rained and the temperature was closer to that of December than to the end of April itself, but even so it seems that we got rid of the terrible weather of Valencia.
Anyway, even with such a grey weather, we make the most of the time. A walk through the Retiro, a visit to the National Archaeological Museum and a took good walk through the Royal Palace gardens.
Seriously, how many peacocks walk freely through this city?
Not all was tourism; we also enjoyed good food and good drinks! I have to say that I was struck by the beautiful papers with which they line the walls of the bathrooms, judge it yourselves:
This is a café calles Bombón, if you ever go to Madrid you must go there!
Jus have two thing to say about this place: horrible music, amazing lights.
Madrid is a huge city compared to Valencia, it takes several trips to get to know it well. For that reason it is also a city that runs you out, you have to move so much to go from one place to another that at night you fall exhausted.
Anyway, Madrid, see you in June.
