Gothic Tales – review of the anthology

Gothic Tales – review of the anthology

I’ve been showing you illustrations of this book on Instagram for a while now and now, finally, I’m done and I can review it to you!

I am not going to tell you about all the stories, as I have done on other occasions, because there would be a very long post and a video of too much length, so, instead, I am going to talk only about the five that have most liked. That way I also let you be surprised with the rest of the stories as I did.

This anthology also has stories by authors such as Edgar A. Poe, H. P. Lovecraft, Bram Stoker or Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. I am not going to talk about these authors this time because either I have already talked about them, or I am sorry to do so soon.

About the edition

I think I’ve already told you about the classics that Alma is publishing, but I’m going to do it again.

This novel is published in a beautiful hardcover edition with a fabric bookmark and brilliant illustration work by Jana Heidersdorf.

This is not the first Alma editorial anthology that I read and, therefore, I was already sure that I was going to like it, what I did not expect is that I would do it so much! All the stories they have are perfect, there is not a single one that is weak and I would not make any changes or substitutions. They are very diverse stories with authors who move in different genres and, therefore, not all of them are horror.

It has been a pleasant surprise to see the high female participation in this anthology since I have the feeling that in this type of compilations the authors are not always taken into account.

Then I leave you the video in which I talk about my five favorite stories!
